Our Story

A Journey with Short Cinema

Kinocaravan was born in the simplest and most spontaneous way, as often happens with the weird ideas: around a table with friends during the Desenzano Film Festival. In that moment, we asked ourselves how we could bring short films to a wider audience, stepping beyond the boundaries of traditional theaters and embracing an itinerant format. The vision was clear: to take short films on tour, giving them the opportunity to be seen and appreciated everywhere, while offering audiences the joy of discovering stories that deserve to be told.
This is how Kinocaravan came to life—a project that brings together a series of showcases we’ve built over the years with our Cultural Association Sinergetica. At its core lies a dream that continues to inspire us: to one day have a camper and a projector, traveling anywhere to transform every square, village, or vineyard into an open-air cinema.
Why short films? Because even though the short film market is fragile, shorts exist, and they tell powerful, original stories that can move and inspire us. As filmmakers, we want to support this often-overlooked format. And we do so concretely by paying a $70 fee for every short selected and screened. It’s our way of valuing the creative work of those who, like us, believe in the power of short films.

Our Vision

To create a unique itinerant cinema experience by bringing short films everywhere with a camper equipped as a mobile screening room. A project that makes cinema accessible to a wider audience, rediscovering the magic of the theater as a place for connection and sharing, wherever it goes.

Our Mission

To enhance the short film landscape by providing tangible support to filmmakers with $70 for each selected screening and building a festival that, with a camper and a projector, transforms squares, villages, and open spaces into hubs of culture, emotions, and shared stories.
